Pilar de la Horadada
Pilar de la Horadada is a town with about 25,000 inhabitants and is located about 14 km south of Torrevieja and about 3 km north of San Pedro del Pinatar.
Pilar de la Horadada is still a typical Spanish town, with everything from supermarkets, shops, banks, libraries, bars, restaurants, schools, swimming pool and sports arena, medical centers, private clinics, dentists, opticians and much more. On Friday morning there is a market in the city that offers everything from vegetables, clothes, shoes, sewing accessories etc., even a very good grilled chicken!
You can enjoy a cup of coffee in the church square among the locals or pop into one of the shops along the main street or its side streets.
Beach & Golf
For sunbathing and swimming, the municipality’s many beaches such as Mil Palmeras, El Mojón, Las Higuericas and Los Jesuitas are not far away.
On the outskirts of Pilar de la Horadada we find the Lo Romero 18-hole golf course.
Alicante airport is about 45 minutes away and San Javier airport only about 15 minutes by car.
