San Pedro del Pinatar, a former fishing village at the northern end of the Mar Menor, is a popular tourist destination in the province of Murcia for many different nationalities.
The beaches here, including Lo Pagan, are popular and there is a marina and a long promenade.
The area has an abundance of bars, shops, restaurants and supermarkets, and the local market is on Mondays, a great place to buy locally grown produce.
There are also salt lagoons and popular mud baths where people seek therapy for both mind and body. You can take a boat from San Pedro that will take you across to La Manga, a strip of land that separates the two seas and extends twenty kilometers out to sea.
You have easy access to the N332 and also the A7, as well as the advantage of being between Murcia International and Alicante airports.
